Alisha B. Savani is an associate with Sandy T. Fox, P.A. Ms. Savani is well versed in the areas of family and marital law and has a passion for assisting clients in their most difficult times. Ms. Savani strives to practice with compassion and diligence.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Savani served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Florida Office of the Attorney General, Child Support Enforcement Unit in Fort Lauderdale. While there, Ms. Savani gained a considerable amount of litigation experience representing the Department of Revenue in child support establishment, modification, and enforcement proceedings. Ms. Savani attended thousands of hearings and advocated on behalf of the Department of Revenue before judges, general magistrates, hearings officers, and administrative law judges.
As a Florida native, she is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, summa cum laude. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2012, where she graduated magna cum laude. She was admitted to the Florida Bar later the same year.
While in law school, Ms. Savani was selected to receive the prestigious Burton Young Scholarship which is awarded to outstanding students with an interest in family law. She also obtained hands-on legal experience through the University of Miami’s Children and Youth Law Clinic and also while working at a family law firm full-time during her last semester of law school. Ms. Savani was also a member of the University of Miami Business Law Review and a research assistant for a family law professor.
