Allison C. Coates is an associate with Sandy T. Fox, P.A. Ms. Coates strives to practice with compassion and diligence. Ms. Coates is well versed in the areas of family and marital law and has a passion for assisting clients in their most difficult times.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Coates started her career in law as an Associate Attorney in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Pembroke Pines, Florida, litigating a variety of family law matters including pre- and post-judgment matters, dissolution of marriage, paternity, child support, timesharing, domestic violence injunctions, and contempt and enforcement.
As a Florida native, Ms. Coates is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 2017. She was admitted to the Florida Bar later the same year.
While in law school, Ms. Coates was selected to receive the Family Law Certificate, as well as Pro Bono Certificate. She was also selected as a Certified Legal Intern at the Virgil Hawkins Family Advocacy Clinic at the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law, and again returned as Advanced Certified Legal Intern, where she provided full representation for indigent family law clients.
