Monica Holden received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Miami in 2002. Monica went on to attend the University of Miami School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2005.
During her undergraduate and law school studies, Monica was a legal intern at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s office. Following graduation, Monica accepted a position as an Assistant Public Defender at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s office, where she was able to gain valuable trial and litigation experience. As an Assistant Public Defender, she handled many types of criminal cases and was involved in trials for criminal charges, such as DUI, robbery, burglary, battery, drug possession, and murder. After practicing at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s office, Monica transitioned to private practice where she focuses exclusively on family law and criminal defense matters.
